Yesterday I took a class offered by the
Narragansett Bay Quilt Guild (NBQA): Basic Bag Making.
The instructor was the award winning quilt artist Janet Elia who blogs over at
Janet Ann Creations. There was a lot of prep involved before the class and still more time was needed after class to finish the to
te. The process was involved but the small class size resulted in one to one instruction, a fun day and a tote bag to be proud of!
The bag closes with a zippered top. |
There are metal purse feet attached to the bottom. |
And a zippered inside pocket. |
As well as lots of open pockets on the inside of the bag. |
I added a tag and D-ring to attached my keys to. |
Voilà - the first of many, wonderful, completed tote bags.
I wasn't sure of the pocket -- so I added a bow! |
Here's Peggy working on her happy, springtime, black and yellow tote bag.
I can't wait to see it finished!
That is one amazing tote bag. You did an outstanding job on it. That is one thing I never take time to make -- and I love them too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks great! Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteTote bags are so much fun to use. And so involved to create. I love the pocket with the bow!
