This quilt was started at the March 2016 Quilt getaway hosted by the Ninigret Quilt Guild. It was a mystery quilt which was taught by Louise who blogs over at Island Creations by Louise. Late this past summer, my coworker, Ethel, mentioned her plans to retire. I knew this would be a perfect quilt for her. She loves to work in her garden and will now have lots of extra time. The focus fabric is pink flowers and green leaves on a dark blue background. The light background fabric is a white on white floral print.
I certainly miss my friend Ethel already and it's only been two days. But I am glad she will now have the time to do all the things she loves!
I was off to find a spot to take a photo and came upon Prospect Terrace in Providence. This little park overlooks the city of Providence and is tucked in a neighborhood very close to Brown University and the RI School of Design.
