Spring Dragonflies has been
completed and delivered to the chairperson of the Small Quilt Auction to held
this weekend at the Narragansett Bay Quilters Association to benefit the New
England Quilt Museum. The overall size is only 16 x 16 inches. It is
machine pieced with Tiffany inspired, hand applique dragon flies. There is very
simple straight line quilting. The backing is an overall purple flower print
and the binding is a solid purple.
The quilt show is to be held this weekend at the North Kingston High School.
There are always wonderful quilts on display. This year there is a lecture and
truck show by R.I.' s own, award winning, Christine Bagley.
Her traditional and art quilts are just fabulous! There was an advanced review
of her lecture last night at the guild meeting. Her work in fiber reflects her
wonderful and diverse personality. Her lecture takes us on her creative journey
and is infused with humor and emotion.
